100 is kind of a lot for “quantity of Koroks who tried to go camping but coincidentally all got too tired to move”, so here’s my personal headcanon:
There is one (1) Korok who actually tried to join his friends in camping and see post-Upheaval Hyrule, but got too tired to move and needed to be rescued by Mr. Hero.
And as soon as you rescued him, he told everyone in Korok Forest about how the cool, brave, awesome Mr. Hero personally hand-carried him to his friend.
So now every time a set of camping Koroks spots Mr. Hero in the distance, they get really excited and rock-paper-scissors over who gets to race ahead and flop in front of the hero like a puppy who doesn’t want to leave the dog park, claiming they can’t move and need to be carried.
btw the biggest lie you will ever be told about being trans is that transitioning will make you ugly. that could not be further from the truth: i never got compliments on my appearance ever, but after i transitioned, began dressing like myself, wore my hair the way i wanted to, and especially started T, i have gotten more compliments than i ever have before in my life. people can tell when you look like yourself, like who you’re meant to be. it’s beautiful, attractive, and sexy. transition will not make you “ugly”. it will make you yourself, and that’s inherently beautiful
10 things from Fire Emblem Fates that aren’t appreciated enough
There was a D-rank ranged sword. Usually, sword locked characters don’t have many ranged options compared to lance and axe users. Usually only having magic swords, when most sword units are physical. The kodachi offered an accessible ranged option for physical units
All classes were gender-neutral. By extension, every character can get any class skill if you plan things out correctly
There was comparatively more effort into creating new classes. Kinshi Knight and Revenant Knight flew so that Claude and Ivy could soar. Ninjas are pretty iconic. Butlers and maids were hilariously fun to use. Oni Savage is uniquely designed even if they weren’t as useful
Restricted max weapon ranks. It added a new element to have the choice between specializing in a single weapon type or generalizing with multiple
The home base was customizable. Garreg Mach and the Somniel are fine, but I find the My Castle more efficient because we can design things based on our own preferences
It was the first time bows and knives were included in the weapon triangle
It’s currently the last Fire Emblem to have shapeshifters in the base game. Three Houses has dragons without dragon transformations and Engage paywalled theirs behind DLC….
Plot relevant dancer. I just prefer when characters with unique classes are also main characters or at least very important for the plot
Officially introduced character skills
Terrain manipulation. Using Dragon Veins or planning around the enemy using them is just so much fun. 10/10
Bonus stupid one for myself: The skill icons were circular. I just think the circular icons look nicer than the square ones
